Improving each time: “I think the pleasing thing is that each time she’s come back a hundred metres, as well. This young boy, he’s riding good, isn’t he.

“He (Price) had to think a bit today and it’s always a worry when you’ve got a two-kilo claimer in a race with six leaders and you’re one of them, but he did the smart thing, he came out and held his ground and didn’t panic when he found the leader and just bided his time and nursed her in the straight like last time.

“He’s doing a good job as is the filly. Thanks to the team at Briarwood Farm, the McMaster family that won this family, they bought her as a weanling and she’s doing a very good job for them.”

Typhoon Tracy Stakes: “I think we’ve got to. She’s a bit deep into her prep. This is her fourth run this time in so we’ll see how she pulls up but we’ve probably got to have a crack at one of those little stakes races while she’s up and going. They don’t come around too often, and she is a winner.”

Winning Jockey: Will Price

“It’s always good to get on horses under Peter Moody’s name. They’re always going to be thereabouts so to get another opportunity on this girl was really good.”

On the run: “She was quick away again which was good. Travelled nicely throughout, there was a big of speed from out wide. The plan was just if something was happy to whip along in front then we were just happy to sit off. She was happy, nice and versatile sitting off and just travelled beautifully.

“I was happy sitting where I was and getting out to that middle part of the track and she toughed it out really well.

“I always knew that she was going to be strong on the line. She fought back really well last start and knowing that I just tried to nurse her as much as I could into the straight. She was just too tough again.”
