“He’s just such a great horse. He won the three-year-old VOBIS Sires here and the stayers VOBIS race here and now he’s won the Gold Heath so that takes him over the million dollar mark. It’s been a great ride for the owners and he’s been such a good horse to me.
“He was a little bit more dour today. I was a little bit worried at the top of the straight, to be honest. He dug deep and he really hit the line. He’s won eleven races now, he’s dug deep. He’s such a genuine racehorse.”
What’s next: “We might contemplate a trip to Brisbane. There’s some nice races up there for him but as always we’ll get him home and let him tell us.”
Secret to this horse: “There’s no real secret. He’s very clean winded, he doesn’t take a lot of work. He goes over a few hurdles here and there to wake him up a bit. He’s a beautiful sound horse.
“To be fair he’s probably taught me a lot through the last four years. He’s been such a good horse.”

“They got on their bikes when cornering and he was a bit flat footed. I was a bit concerned straightening up that he had a bit left to do but he was too good for them.”
On the track: “It’s probably a Good 4, on that better side but I reckon out where they’ve raced and out where that field is (was) its definitely a bit softer. That inside part is beautiful and that gives another (element) to his win as well. I thought he was coming out to the worst part of the track to make his run, so I think it’ll race that way all day.”
