Winning Trainer: Mathew Ellerton & Simon Zahra (Ellerton interviewed)

“Really good today. Didn’t think she’d be that far back. She did a super job. Probably says a lot for her maturity. She couldn’t hit the spot early on and she’s realy become a solid mare now,

“She was always a bit light and hollow but she’s a big strong five-year-old mare now and racing accordingly.

“At some stage we’re going to have to look at some black type for her - her owners are breeders - and that’s the name of the game. But she’s been able to go through her classes and this us where we’re at with her. Hopefully onwards and upwards.”

Winning Jockey: Jamie Kah

“Ever since I won on her last prep I thought she was something special. She doesn’t win by much but she’s very competitive and always puts her nose in front.

“She’s a much improved horse this prep. I haven’t been on her this prep. Damian (Lane) won on her last start and I was lucky enough to get back on her. She’s grown up a lot since last prep. She wanted to get her head up a lot in the race early on last prep and now she’s a much more furnished horse.”
