Showed fight: “Her record suggests that she is a bit of a non-winner but she ran in a lot of very good races and wasn’t beaten far in them. She should gain a lot of confidence from that. She had a bit of time between runs, one jump-out. She’ll come on plenty for it. I thought she could definitely improve off that the way she looked in the yard. It was a beautiful ride from Josh. He rated her perfectly and didn’t go for her too early. He just let her build. It’s a really nice result for the owners.”

Race ahead: “There will be a fair bit of debate as to where she goes. We’ve spoken about the (Sir) Rupert Clarke and trying 1400 (metres). She has raced really well, ridden quiet, over 1200. Our hand was forced today to go forward and it paid off, but she might stretch out. There is a beautiful sprinting mares’ program and if she’s able to win a Group race and run in a Group 1 at The Valley, we’ll see. We’ll get through today, get her back to Fingal and go from there.”
