“Any meeting it is good to have a winner in the last. You leave with a smile on your face. The last in Cup Week is always a good one to win.

“He had a very similar profile to a horse called Order Of Command who we won this race with two or three years back. He’s gone on to racing with Group 2 and Group 3 sort of sprinters.

“He’s come back as a four-year-old really well and I’m sure he’s got a good career out in front of him.

“His best runs as a three-year-old have been as a run on sprinter over 1100 and I’d say he’ll stick around those journeys.”

Superstorm in the Mackinnon: “He’s pulled up really well. The race shape didn’t suit him today. It did last week with the tempo and he was able to run into it. Today, he was back last and it was a very slow pace but he still through to the line. He’s been a terrific horse for us all spring. He’ll have a little break now and be back for a big autumn.”

Winning Jockey: Fred Kersley

“He’s a horse that has had his fair share of problems along the journey. But we’ve seen he had good three-year-old form around the right horses. He came back and wasn’t right in the wind so they put him back out and he had a little wind operation.

“I think the important thing today is we got him rock hard fit and ready to fire first-up and he looked after it for me.”
