“It was a huge win. Glen & Peter Carrick at Noorilim Park and we actually trained the sister and I quite liked her. I love Not A Single Doubt.

“She’s a pretty obvious horse at home. We just gave her the one trial and she trialled very well. We brought her here for a track gallop and she worked nicely. She put the writing on the wall but I suppose that she hadn’t been seen a lot publicly.

“It was great to get her (in the stable) and Peter and Glen stayed in. Campbell Stott, it’s great to have a win in his colours. She couldn’t have started any better, could she?”

Could she handle softer ground: “She could slide up to Sydney but she’s only had the one trial, she’s obviously been very impressive but we’ll just let the dust settle and she’s got plenty of options, I reckon.”

Winning Jockey: Jye McNeil

“Really good way to start (the night). I worked with her, I didn’t ride her on Monday here. Obviously her work was a lot better. Her work was good but I didn’t think it was as good as she went tonight. She’s obviously come on again from that piece of work earlier in the week. Impressive.

“I think the professionalism, the way she quickened with ease underneath me was a real asset and she gave me a lovely feel.”
