“Everyone all week has been asking what my best is and I just said this horse so the pressure was on.

“Worked out beautifully. The race shape suited him. We like the horse a lot. We think he’s a Saturday-type class of horse and he was well placed today. Mark rode him beautifully.

WHat’s next: “He’ll go through the grades nicely - maybe a BM70 over a mile. Mark loves this horse, too. Every time I see him he asks where this horse is. I said he’s at the ’Bool for you.

“He’s had his share of little growing pains but he’s matured now. He’s a Tavistock so we’ve taken out time.”

Winning Jockey: Mark Zahra

“I like him a lot. He’s the main reason I came today. I know I won the cup but he’s the main reason I came. Went to Sale and rode him last time and I think he disappeared. I think I was ringing ‘Junior’ and asked where the horse had gone. Good to see him come back like that.

“He just gives you the feel of a good horse. Really strong action, very quiet horse, and when you ask him to go he’s just got a good action. Got a  bit lost in the straight but he’s got a really good action.”
