“Full credit to John and his team. They were umming and ahhing after the draw as to whether to bring him down given how well the track has been racing.
“I was a bit lucky then that they stayed in my zone, so to speak, and I was able to get in and get a trail, but the horse was really well. As soon as I got on his back I thought he’s bubbling away and ready to go.
“John has had a big day and he’s having a bit of luck which is great.
“He’s an improving horse. John has been patient with him and he’s now showing the benefit of that.
“He might even hang around for a race at the Caulfield meeting now. He’s a nice horse moving forward.”
