“She was unlucky here two starts ago and then at Caulfield was probably looking for the 2000 metres and she got it tonight.

“Great ride by Brett and it panned out well.

This race instead of the Tesio: “Damien Thornton said last time that she was looking to step out to the 2000 metres. It was a good run race that got a bit sticky on the corner but she was too good.

Horses going from QLD to here: “I think they like getting a bit of sun on their back and there’s good racing there during the winter. Chris places his horses well - she won a Group 2 up there.”

“I was awfully unlucky on her first up over 1400m, she finished well behind them. I never actually moved on her, it was a dead-set barrier trial. Her next run was pretty much the same. Last time at a mile was probably another conditioning run, she ran really super, but she was just looking for extra distance like tonight.”

“I hoped they went a bit quicker because she really gets on the chew a bit. She was a bit of a handful mid-race but she had a bit on them and she showed that toward the finish.”
