Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace (Eustace speaking)

On the win: “It was quite a comfortable watch actually, he was trucking along quite nicely and I like how Josh always leaves a little bit late, there’s always something left, he doesn’t go for them too quick, he’s very good at letting them build into the race and picks his stick up late.

On blinkers: “Ciaron posed the question of blinkers a couple of starts back and he was actually two for two when we got him and now he’s four from four. He’s racing really well and we hadn’t really had a lot of luck for these owners down in Tassie, the whole family will be watching and they get a great thrill out of any win but a win at Flemington they’ve always said that they wanted to have more of so now they've had a couple and we’re glad of their support

Possibility of a Standish run : “We’ll see what the handicapper does, we don’t want to completely ruin his mark so possibly yes, he’s a gelding so if there is a rating race available we’d probably lean towards that, he’s a horse that can hopefully go through the grades. Full credit to the team down at Fingal, he looked superb today.

Winning Jockey: Josh Richards

Today’s win compared to last start: “I think he’s stepped up again today. He jumped out and he felt a lot stronger , stronger through the run and strong at the finish.

Racing style: “I think he’s definitely improving, especially with the blinkers back on, he jumped into the bridle a lot better today and when I asked him I felt he was a lot stronger and gave more of a kick . He loves that track (the Flemington straight).
