“Jye said it was better than it looked. He said it traveled really strong and that was nice to see.

“Traveled like a horse that can really quicken and he just really stayed well to the line. Beautiful ride and great for Australian Bloodstock. They keep finding these horses again and again.

Through the grades: “That’ll be the plan. We think he has got a nice rating and with cut in the ground and a bit further as well he should be able to go through his grades.

“Tricky horse to work out. A little bit quirky early on so a credit to them, he’s on the straight and narrow. He was very honest there and hopefully he can keep going.”

“I felt after being in traffic and at Caulfield for the first time under race pressure, he was awkward around the bend.

“On a form deck as well he wasn’t able pick up as well as he did in his debut run at Flemington but I think there was good merit in the run and he can go on from there.”

Going to Flemington a plus: “You’ve got to find the right races and the team placed him well to get the win today but he gave me the (good/better) feel under the circumstances at Flemington and when we get back there that’s when we’ll see the best of him.”
