Winning Trainer: Peter & Paul Snowden (rep by Andrew Angelone)

“She can be a little tardy out of the barrier and she actually flew the gates today. They put her in a little awkward position being four or five wide but to Brett’s credit he didn’t panic, champion jockey.

“She settled really well and obviously finished off well. Good to see.

Main aim: “Just to get her back to form, really. It is more that the starts have been the trouble and the barrier blanket has fixed that. She trialed really well into this and it is good to see her win.”

Winning Jockey: Brett Prebble

“I thought she got away quite cleanly for her. She has a barrier blanket - she’s been awfully difficult in the barriers.

“She jumped pretty (well) on terms so she ended up being four lengths closer than what I thought I was going to be.

“Coming off the bridle on the home turn, I thought it was going to be a long straight but once she kicked into gear she got a bit lost this way of going this time back.

“Then when she built up her momentum she really got on late. I think she’ll put her hand up for 1400 (metres) for sure.

“I think she’s still learning her trade though today was quite a soft win.”
