On how the race worked out: “We went in pretty open-minded, obviously the speed map probably didn’t work out like we thought it was going to, and we put it out the window from the start. I was happy to keep her in her own rhythm and I think it paid off really well.

“On the corner they left her flat-footed and she did take a lot of chasing, particularly getting around the corner and the first 50 metres into it, but the further she went the stronger she got.”
