“You like George Constanza and the cantaloupe and he gets a bit of movement? I’m back, baby! I’m back!

“Her form has been alright. In Perth she ran second to a couple of Bob Peters’ horses and one day she beat maybe his best horse. So when she was coming over (here) I thought she’d be a spruikey sort of horse and go on with it.

“She’d been disappointing and we’ve been training her a couple of different ways. Doesn’t like hard ground on the back of her knee. Today we were confident that the ground would suit her but me being ‘O-F-F’ over the last couple of days had me worried.

“Boomer Bloodstock picked her out for $40,000 so she’s one of the cheaper ones. She’s a nice mare and hopefully she can go on over the wintertime.”

Winning Jockey: Jarrod Fry

“Jumped well and showed good speed and just controlled the race. (Out wider) is untouched ground. It’s very soft everywhere but if you can get a path on where it hasn’t been galloped on then that is an advantage.

“As soon as they touch it (ground) it opens up straight away.

“The team said that they were pretty confident that she’ll run well and galloped well so that gave me confidence and the horse did the rest.”
