Winning Trainer: Anthony & Sam Freeman (Sam speaking)

“He did a good job today. He wasn’t as quick out but he mustered very quickly and Logan rode him perfectly.

“I did say to him before the race that if he can keep winning on him then he can stick with him. He rated him perfectly.

“He was a little but keen in front and then started to slide away. He had conditions to suit today but he’s four from four as a gelding for Rosemont and a really good group of friends are in him as well.

“A big thrill.

“I think we’ll press on with him. He’s going pretty well. His two-year-old season as a colt was a bit painful because he was trialling up well and not quite producing.

“Whilst he’s going well we’ll keep pressing on. He’s a three-year-old and his rating will go into the mid 70’s not but just happy to have him winning.”

Winning Jockey: Logan McNeil

With the late scratching before the jump: “Behind the barriers while all of that was going on he was getting a bit hot because he was ready to go but he handled it well and he won like a good horse.

“From a bit of an awkward gate it was a bit tricky but he’s a horse that has extremely good speed and he can take that up like that and put pay to them.

“I always knew I had plenty left. He had a nice little breather once we got there (to the lead) he’s a tough little horse with a fight so once I gave him a kick around the bend I knew he’d be hard to pass.”
