Winning Trainer: Kane Harris

“He’d been sold a couple of times to Hong Kong so when that fell by the wayside you’ve got to find restricted races with him and to the team at home, geez they work hard.

“He got ridden upside down at Warrnambool. He’s a new horse on the scene and he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

“Ethan has ridden quite a few of his trials and he didn’t have to expose him too early or he doesn’t know where to go with it.”

HIs stable: “We work about 60 but five are my own and the rest are pre-trainers for larger stables. With the major size property that we bought, all the good ones were sold to Hong Kong over the last few years and that was in order to be a smaller trainer that has a facility to be world class.

“Hopefully now we’ve got that property we can build and go on to better things.

“In all honesty, whether its a maiden or a Winter Championship with Future Solution, I think if you plan something out it doesn’t matter if it comes off at Hanging Rock or comes off at Flemington.

“For the amount of horse that we do - I’ve ridden 25 this morning already so I’ve had enough - we’ll definitely be having a stubbie today.”

Winning Jockey: Ethan Brown

“He’s done a good job, this horse. There was a bit of speed on, he drew a nice gate and got a beautiful run in behind them.

“I always thought he’s better chasing and he proved that point today. I thought his work through the line was really nice.

“I had to convince the horse (to get there). He’s a bit of a thinker and that last furlong, once I put a few around his tail he switch on and off he went.

“I think Kane does a terrific job with his team. He’s very good with tried horses and brings them up well. He targets them right and got a nice win today.”
