Winning Trainer: Tom Dabernig

Building up to a win: “This preparation he’s been building up to it, when he found the lead he enjoyed it and they couldn’t get past him. He got posted and had to go early (at Mornington). Today we went up in class and dropped in weight and his fitness really kicked it and he was able to get it done.”

Where to next: “There’s a race at the Warrnambool carnival, an in form, fit horse, it might suit him. There’s an open 1700m and we might have a crack at that.”

Winning Jockey: Josh Richards

Difference from last start: “He just stepped slow last start and it was a massive run. He gets up on the bit a bit, you’ve got to keep him happy and I thought today, out in front would be the best way for him and it suited him really well.”
