Seven TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Kensington, Sandown, Doomben, Ascot, Gawler, Launceston (night) & Darwin.

Randwick Kensington: Race 2 @ 2:00pm

Haunting Spirit and Word For Word to set the tempo. PINUP MISS (7) was only fairly away but did her best work late to finish 3rd on debut over 1200m at Warwick Farm last start. Trialled well at Gosford since that run and is likely to improve today over a little more ground with the blinkers applied. WORD FOR WORD (10) returns from a 12-week spell that followed a maiden prep that yielded three minor placings from three starts. Beaten under a length on each occasion in the 1400-1550m range. Won a recent trial impressively and looks ready to run well. Stablemate SAVIGNE (8) has been freshened up since storming home into 2nd place over 1900m at Canterbury 54 days ago. Capable of sprinting well coming off a little break. HAUNTING SPIRIT (4) has been consistent all prep on out-of-town tracks and deserves his chance in the big smoke.SELECTIONS: Expecting a big run from #7 Pinup Miss at just her second career start.

Doomben: Race 8 @ 5.52pm (AEDT)

DINNIGAN (2) returned from a lengthy spell for new trainer Tony Gollan last start and did a great job to score a tough win over 1050m at this circuit. Talented mare who has drawn to advantage and will appreciate the step up in trip second up from a spell. KEEP YOUR ROSES (8) flashed home to be beaten under a length over 1350m at this circuit four weeks ago. Both her wins have come at today's trip so expect her to be putting in the big strides late off a freshen up. BACHELOR'S ART (3) is better placed up to today's trip and will be hitting the line strongly. The consistent MAKES YOU THINK (5) is one for exotics punters. SELECTIONS: #2 Dinnigan has a bit too much class for this lineup.

Gawler: Race 7 @ 6:45pm

CLASSIC WEIWEI (3) just missed on debut in Victoria and then won resuming at Balaklava as the market expected. Is still new but this looks a nice progression for the promising McEvoy galloper. IGITUR (4) looked ready to win at the Parks but didn’t get into it and forgiving. Gets the rider switch to Clark and is worth another chance. FRENCH RESPONSE (7) deserved the heavily-backed Maiden win and is an improver who has to be considered. KAZOOM (2) is back from the bush and is in the mix. SELECTIONS: Expecting #3 Classic Weiwei to see out the trip and have an edge.

Launceston: Race 3 @ 7:15pm

Nielson can run them along. NIELSON (1) had trialled strongly before just missing the two runs back. Runs along and can be winning this evening for Trinder with the small claim. INVINCIBLE ROCK (2) resumes from a low gate with Newitt booked. Brings strong figures and expect a bold run with the gear tweaks. GEE GEE SPITFIRE (4) peaks and got close the latest in stronger grade. Gets the rail and his chance. THEWORDSOUT (3) gets back but can fill a spot coming home hard again. SELECTIONS Neilson #1 looks well set up.
