Today’s Horse Racing Tips – April 30

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on April 30.

Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Kembla Grange, Taree, Warrnambool & Townsville.

Warrnambool: Race 9 @ 4:00pm

Moor Wanted can lead them up. HONORABLE MENTION (1) resumes and has won 2/2 that state. Comes off a win and is likely to be further improved. Expect Kah to push forward and give him a good ride. SWEET SNITTY (8) didn’t have the best of it last time off the win and drawn handy he’s also a winning hope. BOOTS TARRINGTON (11) won the 64 first-up at Bendigo and that stacks right up. Uses the low gate and should go close. MOOR WANTED (3) just missed this grade at the Valley resuming and forget the one after when he was caught wide. Can control this and is a winning chance with the claim. SELECTIONS: Will look to back and/or save both the top selections.

Townsville: Race 1 @ 1:32pm

THE STOCKBROKER (1) deserves a win and forget the latest at Rocky when he was three wide. Gets a wide gate again but is very-well suited in this line up and should be winning. NOBODY BETTER (6) placed both runs before the spell and then resumed with some gear on first time and didn’t get into it. The gear comes straight off and drawn the rail expect sharp improvement. UP THE RIVER (5) has more to offer second up and MERAKI STAR (2) is also a hope. SELECTIONS Keen on #1 The Stockbroker who finds the right race.

Taree: Race 3 @ 2.25pm

Do I Know You to bounce straight to the lead from Dancing Phryne at a good clip. GALWAY (2) was coming off a 33-day let-up and a change of trainer when a convincing winner over 1400m at Coffs Harbour last start. Kept fresh since that win five weeks ago - no reason he cannot go to the next level today. ZOULING (4) has not raced since looking a chance but finding one better over the mile at Tamworth seven weeks ago. Consistent filly with good form over this trip earlier in the prep. WOLFRAM (8) warmed up late to grab 4th over 1250m at this circuit recently. Drawn well and likely to appreciate getting out to this trip now. THE OUTCAST (7) just missed in a blanket finish last start and is a trifecta/first four prospect. SELECTIONS: Back #2 Galway to win with some confidence.

Kembla Grange: Race 6 @ 3:50pm

Good early speed here with Art Of More the likely leader. THE RUNNER (5) impressed first up over 1000m at Muswellbrook, winding up powerfully in the closing stages to be beaten narrowly. Was competitive in town second up last prep and he needs the extra furlong at this stage of the campaign. BONDI BOY (3) made up a lot of late ground to finish 3rd over 1300m at Wyong last time out. Back in trip but did win at 1100m two runs back and the long run home here is to his advantage. LIGHT CHARGE (6) drove hard late to arrive just in time when resuming over 1100m at Hawkesbury recently. Can go on with it here. ART OF MORE (9) won a recent trial and is a winning chance first up. SELECTIONS: #5 The Runner is poised to win second up.
