Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 15.
Cessnock: Race 4 @ 2.45pm
Power To Pay and Party Glow from inside gates will set a good tempo. MADAM ILITHYIA (2) returned from a 164-day spell with an impressive 2nd last start over 1100m at Scone. Hit the lead inside the 100m mark that day and looked home only to be ambushed on the line. Strips fitter this time and with any luck from a sticky gate is the one to beat. A couple of first starters pose the greatest threat. HARD LADY (13) is an All Too Hard filly who went nicely in a recent Newcastle trial. Poorly drawn but otherwise appeals. THE LIGHT OF DAY (8) has won and placed in her two trials leading into this debut. Also drawn poorly but with luck can figure prominently. CAPITOLINE LADY (11) back in an easier maiden today poses a genuine threat. SELECTION: Keen on #2 Madam Ilithyia.

Murtoa: Race 4 @ 2.00pm
Caliburn from a good gate should ping straight to the front. STINGING REMARK (7) appreciated the return to the mile last start when a fast-finishing 2nd at Moe. Very fit now after three runs back and with any luck from the wide gate can take this out. MISS HELLBENDER (9) was ridden closer to the pace last time and failed to kick on at the end of a mile at Bendigo. Form prior to that when ridden quieter was sound. Can bounce back. DALGHAR BLUE (4) made a little ground in the straight but was beaten a fair way at Mildura recently over 1310m. Might be looking for this trip now. SERENA ON COURT (10) is racing well and will appeal to exotics punters. SELECTION: This looks a very nice race for #7 Stinging Remark.
Moruya: Race 7 @ 4.15pm
SUNEEZE (5) looks a top chance on latest effort. Boxed on well in open class latest and not beaten far. Rates well and will go close from an ideal draw. LIVING DOLL (1) is aided by the big claim. Has good speed and on strong record at trip will take catching. TWIRLING MOSS (4) is yet another speedster. Both career wins have been while resuming. Look for bold run. BITOFASTAR (6) will be one that off speed but winding up hard. SELECTION: #5 Suneeze gets chance.
