Another week, another day of small numbers in the Adelaide metro card so it’s not easy finding value.
Happy to stay with one who has been good to us in the past as Tongsai Boss drops back to 1400m but is still the one to beat.
He trotted away with a mile race three weeks ago and races best up on the speed so even if he got crossed, you'd think he'd pop straight off and sit outside.
Was hoping they might bet around him even as a good horse with a claim in a race against a lot of horses about the same level but will have to take the odds on offer.
He doesn't do much wrong this horse.
In the race prior, Zalmona can be backed each way. He is such a reliable gelding that that method seems best.
Basically all he has done for a while is run in the black type sprints in Adelaide and beside the Goodwood, which in reality was too tough, performed admirably.
In fact the Goodwood winner Despatch was the only one to beat him home in the two runs before that.
He does get back so the barrier may not be so important and assuming they can run on should be in the finish.
