It is Belmont Sprint day at Group 3 level on the weekend.
We are going to play in that main race as Angelic Ruler has to run well again.
Her campaign had gone 1200, 1400 then back to 1200 in the Roma Cup and she was left back near last much of the way.
While the shorter trip did not suit, she charged the last bit to miss by under a length and was coming home better than the rest.
From a good gate and back to the 1400m, the mare won't need to be giving away as much start this time and can use that sprint to her advantage.
It is an open race but we fancy she gets the right run and we can back her at a nice price.
Earlier in the day there is confidence Double Bubble can go back to back this preparation.
This mare took on some nice rivals last time in and then off two trials, scored a strong win resuming.
She is up 2kg but draws a lovely barrier to sit right with the leaders or even take it up.
That should see her position up well in front of the main rivals and that could make the difference in the end.
