Wangaratta: Race 2 @ 1:30pm
Genuine pace with Stretching taking up the running ahead of Mutinous. CRYSTAL CHIEF (2) resumes off two lip defeats in city contests and is promising. He draws well and is clearly the one they have to beat drawn to advantage. MUTINOUS (4) didn't enjoy the heavy track here resuming and gets the blinkers first time. In a red-hot yard and quick improvement is anticipated. WINTER IN PARIS (14) debuts for a top barn drawn well and is likely to have good ability. She's a market watch along with the other first-starters especially PRIDE OF JENNI (12). SELECTION: They will need to be right on their game to beat the promising #2 Crystal Chief.

Kempsey: Race 3 @ 2:40pm
From wide gate Sensei Jackie should have enough speed to cross down to the lead. MISS SCALINI (6) ran along and just missed resuming from a wide gate for the new yard. She draws to advantage today and only has to get near her Victorian peaks to take a stack of beating. FOUR EGOS (1) resumes and has placed 3/4. Will have come on and expect him to go well with Gibbons booked. SHAKTI (11) trialled well and missed 1L on debut at Scone. She will be fitter and won't be far away. AUSTEJA (7) surprised placing at Taree on debut and didn't have the best of it. She's also in the mix. SELECTION: Backing #6 Miss Scalini to win finding her best.

Wellington: Race 6 @ 4:50pm
Expecting Smart Ain't He to take up the running at a genuine tempo. SOLDIER POY (7) improved missing a lip at Narromine and then delivered the Maiden win at Gilgandra. That stacks right up and in this line up he can take the next step from the handy gate. BRUNELA (4) met trouble the latest and raced favourite the one before. Needs to find her best but Cahill sticking is a positive and she should go close. AISLE SIX (6) improved placing at Dubbo and is an each way hope with the weight relief in this grade. SMART AIN'T HE (1) is a bit in and out but is capable at best and won't be far away. SELECTION: #7 Soldier Poy keeps improving and can win again.
