Winter certainly has struck with cold conditions in play but it hasn’t stopped the flood of horses racing and Adelaide is no exception.
Happy to take some at fair odds this week including Icecrusher in Race 4.
This daughter of Frost Giant is a 6yo now and both runs back from a spell have been excellent coming from well back.
She closed those off so strongly over 1400m and while this is slightly less, she will be getting a soft run from a lovely gate so doubting she will get outsprinted.
Importantly here she is back into Mares grade and she won one of those back in February.
Certainly there is a weight increase but the 3kg off means she is only just over the limit weight.
One at great odds later in the day over the 1950m is Star Status and he too will be hitting home hard here.
This 5yo is also having a third run back from a break where he's come from near last to just miss the placings.
He's now at a distance which suits more and granted the barrier means he'll be well back again, there is ample speed to give those horses a chance.
All he wants is the track to keep drying out as his best is back onto good.
