Today’s Horse Racing Tips –19th June 2022

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 19.

COONAMBLE: RACE 7 @ 3:50 PM

TUCSON VALLEY (8) is a leader who made the hat-trick with the comfortable 68 win at Wyong. Ran equal favourite and has weight relief at this level. Keeps improving and she'll take plenty of beating drawn to advantage. APPALACHIAN (6) resumes and has switched from a leading South Australian barn. Missed a lip at Morphettville Parks the only run last campaign. Has an awkward barrier but is right up to this at best and expect him to be ready to go. CASSY'S SISTER (4) was out-graded in Listed company and then just missed after this grade at Gunnedah. Races handy and is capable of going close. BUCKIN' BEAUTY (2) has been racing in town in stronger. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and the speedy mare will use the rail. In the mix. LADY RIVER (12) gets a wide gate but can build on the first-up win. SELECTION: Backing Tucson Valley.

PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 3 @ 1:02 PM

CHEROKEE CHERRY (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden with three consecutive placings and this is not an overly strong affair. Has placed two from two over this track and trip and is sure to get a soft run from gate three. Will prove very hard to toss. GRACIOUS GRACIE (4) has placed seven of 14 overall and gets 1.5kg off with the claim. Is another drawn to get some cover in the run and is likely to be about the money again. JAXON'S DAY (9) has placed at his past couple and looks a genuine top-three contender. SMASHING LUCAS (12) put in a career-best performance last time out and Grisedale sticks in the saddle. In the mix. STARBOARD LIGHT (1) wasn't disgraced on debut and will take a lot of benefit from that race day experience. One for the multiples. SELECTION: Cherokee Cherry to win.

BENDIGO: RACE 5 @ 2:00 PM

MY ARTEMIS (6) won fresh-up last start to break maiden at Pakenham Synthetic over 1000m and should prove hard to beat again. WEGOBAM (4) resumes after a 17 week spell and is expected to go well fresh-up having placed third when last first-up at Warrnambool, has claims. IT'S KIND OF MAGIC (2) has been taking on tougher races and is a player off a Caulfield placing three back. DIVINA CALLE (12) was a Geelong winner three back. Respect. SELECTION: My Artemis to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 6 @ 2:45 PM

ISLAND MAGIC (6) resumes for the top barn and will be winning if presented on-song. Placed in a rich feature the latest and has trialled sharply at Doomben. High stable-striker Maloney sticks from that and will give the filly every chance from the low barrier. LE GRAND LOUVRE (7) won a trial and was beaten 1L at Doomben on resumption surprising the market. He will be better for that and draws to advantage. In the mix. I AM PEARL (5) has a wide gate but is fast and gets a top hoop for the apprentice. Won't be far away building on the first-up near miss at Gatton. SELECTION: Backing Island Magic to win.
