Racing and Sports analysts Jaike Altieri, Trent Crebbin and Ethan Perry bring the punters a Saturday multi-bet featuring racing from around the country.
There was some improvement in the multi last week, albeit minimal, but along with it came plenty of heartache.
Conscript got us off to a flyer, giving us plenty of hope leading into the second leg where Peter Moody-trained filly Sigh had absolutely no luck in the straight. Somerset Maugham ran his usual honest race, but it was all over by that point.
Attention quickly turned to this weekend where we stick to our guns and pop out a nice double-figure price.
Rosehill Race 5 Number 6 COMME BELLA FILLE - Win ($2.90, Ladbrokes)
This mare faces a rise in class today, but that's off the back of a career-high Timeform rating of 98+ in a sit-and-sprint affair. She is untested on heavy going, but has won 5/9 on Soft-rated courses and she drops 6kg after the claim of Reece Jones. She can get the job done.
Eagle Farm Race 7 Number 10 FLANDERSRAIN - Place ($2.20)
Flandersrain returned for a new stable at G2 level and ran a cracker at 100-1. Much better suited at 1600m in a class 6 and can roll forward in a race without a noted leader. Looks over the odds and should be in the finish.
Rosehill Race 8 Number 8 LOVETHEINVASION - Place ($2.70)
After having great success with Conscript last week, we have gone back to the speed maps to find this girl. In a race which appears to not have a great deal of speed in it, this mare has plenty of early toe and should find the front without too much concern. Fifth run in she's rock-hard fit and should be giving us a great sight.
