Racing at Sandown-Hillside and Randwick-Kensington yesterday and we've got horses with Group 1 aspirations to follow.

Sandown-Hillside Race 1- Aft Cabin

This was a stunning display from Aft Cabin at his second race start, winning by 6 lengths under hands and heels and posting a very healthy rating with more to come. His turn of foot was exciting and no doubt he could've rated even higher had he been fully tested in a stronger pace scenario. A good second on debut behind a very strong form reference in Miyoshi (one of the R&S blackbook winners), he relished 1400m and a drier track here to rocket to the top of the Caulfield Guineas market. The talk around the R&S office has been that there must have been some good 2yo's held back over the Autumn due to the heavy tracks and this may be Godolphin's. He's a big player in the Spring.

Randwick-Kensington Race 1- A Lot More Love

Staying with the Race 1 theme and A Lot More Love was an eye-catching run first up, charging home from well back in the field to run a narrow second. She ran well behind some handy 2yo's in her first campaign, only a head behind Fernhill winner and Champagne placegetter Williamsburg. A Lot More Love posted her best figure first up over 1300m and wins this with a better barrier. No doubt she'll be knocking a maiden off shortly and progress to stakes/group class fillies races. No shock to see she's nominated for the Thousand Guineas with 1600m looking ideal so it'll be interesting to see how she progresses.
