Back to town this Saturday with Behemoth aiming for his third consecutive win in the Spring Stakes.

Good to get Yuri Royale home last week at Royal Murray Bridge- a deserved win. Attention turns to Morphettville this week however with the Group 3 Spring Stakes (1200m) attracting the usual suspects. Behemoth is a bit in the wilderness of late but if he turns up anywhere near his usual first up ratings, he'll be too good. I marked him around the even money quote so there probably isn't much edge at the moment with a few niggles on where he's at but it's good to see him back.

Outlaws Revenge looks the value in that race at 12-1. His ratings stack up nicely against anything else in the field, posting ratings of 103 and 105 at his last two starts with Timeform. That's a far cry from the 113 that Behemoth has run over this trip, but with horses such as Pindaric and Agreeable rated lower at 1200m, he doesn't look a bad shout of running top three at $3.25.

The best of the day comes up in the last with Glacius from the Will Clarken yard who won nicely on debut at Gawler before a solid showing last week behind the better than average Taunting. He got back there from a wide gate and ran on well, but looks better placed here from a good gate with Logan McNeil claiming 3kg.

He now steps back up to 1100m on the quick backup, drops in grade and given he's only had two race starts, he should continue to progress and looks very well placed at an attractive price of $3.70. I made him a 3/2 chance in this so I'm happy to have a good bet.

Chicago Storm is the other horse on the day that looks ideally placed I. Race 5 and rates well clear of his rivals. A model of consistency this time in, he was caught on the line last start after racing three wide no cover on the pace, still comfortably beating home Eyes Never Lie, who he meets here again.

Now drawn barrier 1 and losing nothing with Pannell replacing Vorster, his last two ratings of 85 and 90 stack up well at these weights and he can likely box seat and prove too strong.
