Woodside Park stalwart sired his ninth two-year-old winner of the season when Ocean Emperor (2 c ex Bubbles 'n' Boats by Fastnet Rock) scored on debut over 1100 metres on the Randwick Kensington track on Wednesday.

Trained by Bjorn Baker, Ocean Emperor scored a long-neck victory over the Chris Waller-trained El Buena (Rubick) with another three quarters of a length to Overlord (Sebring), also from the Waller stable, in third.

Ocean Emperor came into Wednesday's race off the back of a solid barrier trial victory at Rosehill on March 16. On Wednesday he was used up early to get to the lead after breaking from the inside barrier and then held off the challenge of El Buena who tried to reel him in over the closing stages.

Bought for $220,000 by Darby Racing and De Burgh Equine from the draft of Tyreel Stud at last year's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Ocean Emperor is the first foal out of the winning Fastnet Rock (Danehill) mare Bubbles 'N' Boats.

His second dam is Champagnecharlotte (Rahy), the dam of five winners and grandam of Victoria Derby (Gr 1, 2500m) winner Extra Brut (Domesday). His third dam meanwhile is the French Listed winner Charlotte Amalie (Gay Mecene) who produced nine winners including Grade 2 winning air Esteemed Friend (Gulch) and Badouizm (Sheikh Albadou).

Bubbles 'n' Boats has a yearling filly by Astern (Medaglia d'Oro) and then missed in 2018 and 2019. Trained for Ingham Racing by Chris Waller, Bubbles 'n' Boats was bought for $25,000 by Wallings Bloodstock and Tyreel Stud from the draft of Coolmore Stud at the 2016 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale having originally been bought for $425,000 as a yearling at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Written Tycoon's current juvenile crop include the Group placed and Listed winning colt Ole Kirk as well as the stakes placed pair of Bartley and Remorseless.
