With very little rain forecast in Melbourne this week, co-trainer Ciaron Maher has said Cox Plate (Gr 1, 2040m) winner Sir Dragonet (Camelot) is not certain to take his place in the All-Star Mile (1600m) on Caulfield on Saturday and should the son of Camelot (Montjeu) not run in the $5 million race, his place will be filled by last year’s Australian Cup (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Fifty Stars (Sea The Stars).

Co-trainer Ciaron Maher confirmed on Monday that a decision is likely to be made in the morning on the Cox Plate winner’s All-Star Mile status with the weather forecast for Melbourne looking dry for the rest of the week.

"We’ll have a discussion with the owners in the morning as to whether we accept or look ahead to races in Sydney," Maher said of races such as this Saturday’s Sky High Stakes (Gr 3, 2000m) and the following Saturday’s Ranvet Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) at Rosehill.

Sir Dragonet and Fifty Stars are set to gallop at The Valley on Tuesday morning and they will be joined by Probabeel (Savabeel), Arcadia Queen (Redoute’s Choice), Russian Camelot (Camelot) and Mugatoo (Henrythenavigator) prior to final acceptances being taken for the mile feature.
