The progeny of Spirit Of Boom were in demand on day 1 of the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale and Darley announce four new additions to their stallion roster

1. The remarkable yearling sale growth continued on the first day of the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Sale with the average rising 62% to $47,156 and the median up 75% to $35,000. A total of 21 lots sold for $100,000 or more with the aggregate increasing by109%, compared the same day last year, to $7.5m.

2. Spirit Of Boom had a good day siring the top lot, a colt for $370,000 purchased by Morrisey Racing and also the third highest lot which sold for $220,000 to Tony Gollan and John Foote. He concluded day one as leading sire by average with ten lots selling for an average price of $130,600.

3. Darley have announced four new stallions for next season with Bivouac and Pinatubo set to stand in the Hunter Valley while Ghaiyyath and Earthlight are set to shuttle to Northwood Park.

4. Arcadia Queen is 50-50 chance to continue her preparation in Sydney after being scratched by stewards ahead of the All-Star Mile.

5. All-Star Mile runner up Russian Camelot will head to The Championships where he is a possible to run in both the Doncaster Miler (Gr 1, 1600m) and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m).

6. Fabergino impressed in winning a barrier trial for new trainer Chris Waller at Rosehill on Monday. Another to impress was Wisdom Of Water who was having his first trial for new trainer Annabel Neasham.

7. Sword Of State will not run in the Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) and instead is a possible for the ATC Sires Produce Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m).
