The David Jolly-trained dual Group 1 winner Behemoth (All Too Hard) will head to the Goodwood Handicap (Gr 1, 1200m) at Morphettville on May 15 without a prep run.

The son of All Too Hard (Casino Prince) will be having his third attempt in the race having run fourth in 2020 and second the year before.

A winner of the Durbridge Stakes (Listed, 1100m) on January 30, Behemoth finished fourth in the Futurity Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m) and was last seen running fourth in the All-Star Mile (1600m) at Moonee Valley on March 13.

"Everything is going super. We are really happy," Grand Syndicates racing manager Sam Lyons told http://Racing.com

"It's looking very likely we go first-up into The Goodwood. It's been the plan for some time.

"He will likely have a trial or a jumpout again. He has got a nice steady program that will keep tightening him up.

"We talked about possibly having a run before. But I think his best run … will be his first-up run here. If we wanted to go a run earlier than The Goodwood, we might have to do a bit more than what we would like to in the next couple of weeks.

"He is a different horse now than either of the times he ran in it previously.

"The first year he got back on the fence and was extremely unlucky not to win, he was held up, held up and went down by a nose. That second time, he ran fourth, he just couldn't get clear running again and rattled home late.

"This year, if he can draw a gate, he has got that tactical speed now, even at 1200 metres. He can lob in that first, second or third pair and it's a nice position to be in."
