Star Turn (Star Witness) added his 17th winner on Saturday when his daughter Galaxy Cat (2 f ex Onecatstoomany by One Cool Cat) broke her maiden over 1200 metres at Belmont.

Having her sixth career start, Galaxy Cat scored by a long neck over Vranyo - who is also by Star Turn - with another length and a half back to Bigideas (Rommel) in third.

Galaxy Cat was bought for $40,000 by Bridge Patrol Lodge from the draft of Holbrook Thoroughbreds, as agent for Valleys End Stud Reduction, at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Weanling Sale. She becomes the fourth winner for her dam who has also produced the Listed winner Jericho Missile (Smart Missile). Onecatstoomany's filly by Russian Revolution (Snitzel) was bought for $70,000 by Bridge Patrol Lodge at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale on the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Star Turn, who stands at Vinery Stud, sits second behind Capitalist (Written Tycoon) in the leading first season sires table in Australia by winners. His first crop includes the Listed winner Miss Hipstar and the stakes placed trio Stella Magic, Astrologer and Pegasi.

Star Turn covered a book of 167 mares at Vinery Stud last year, his biggest so far, at a fee of $16,500 (inc GST) and his fee remains the same for the 2021 season.
