116 for Snitzel
Bend The Knee (3 c ex Kneeling by Encosta De Lago) won Saturday’s Amanda Elliott Handicap (Listed, 1400m) at Flemington and in doing so became the 116th stakes winner for Arrowfield Stud’s champion sire Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice). A $300,000 purchase by his trainer, John O’Shea, from the draft of Arrowfield Stud at the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Bend The Knee beat favourite Port Louis (Maurice) by a nose. Snitzel is currently sitting in third place in the leading sires table in Australia by earnings while he leads the sires table by stakes winners having sired nine so far this season.

Two for He’s Remarkable
The Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained Age Of Chivalry (6 g ex Onyx by Kaapstad) became the second stakes winner for He’s Remarkable (Pentire) when he won Saturday’s Chatham Stakes (Gr 3, 1400m) at Flemington. Stakes placed previously, Age Of Chivalry beat Crosshaven (Smart Missile) by a head. Age Of Chivalry was a NZ$4,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Festival Yearling Sale purchase by Suncroft Bloodstock in 2017 and later that year was bought by Henry Plumptre for NZ$50,000 at the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale of 2YOs. He’s Remarkable was based at Mapperley Stud before being offered on Galvehouse.com last year.
