I Am Invincible is the latest big-name stallion to return to his pre-Covid fee after Yarraman Park on Wednesday announced this year's fees for their banner resident and his barnmate son Hellbent.

He will stand for $247,500 (inc GST), which is a rise of $27,500 on last year.

The son of Invincible Spirit stood for $209,000 in 2020 but the deeds of the likes of Home Affairs, Marabi and Imperatriz, plus stunning results on the sales circuit in 2022, gave Yarraman Park confidence that an increase was warranted.

"He's had another marvellous year, he's right up the pointy end of the sire's list, his number of winners and his sales (results) have been remarkable again, leading the gross at Magic Millions and Easter," Yarraman Park's Arthur Mitchell said.

"He's had a huge number of individual winners, he's had 28 stakes performers, so really he can't be doing any better than he's doing.

"We're very happy with the way they're performing and the way they're selling."

I Am Invincible is in contention for his first Australian Champion Sire title, being just under $300,000 behind So You Think, who charged to the front with his red-letter day on Day 2 of The Championships.

His yearlings have averaged $578,579 at yearling sales in 2022, including three of the seven lots who sold for at least $1.5m at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale and two of the top three lots at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale; a $1.9m colt and a $1.55m filly.

I Am Invincible's William Reid Stakes-winning son Hellbent is Yarraman's other stallion and his fee remains unchanged at $22,000 (inc GST).
