The Markus Klug-trained Satomi (4 f ex Swordhalf by Haafhd) scored valuable black-type when she took out the Preis der Hotellerie (Listed, 2200m) at Hannover on Thursday and in the process handed former Darley shuttler Teofilo (Galileo) with a 89th stakes winner.

The four-year-old filly had been placed at stakes level on two occasions and she scored a two length victory over Lips Queen (Kamsin), while Nathan Mnm (Nathaniel) was another length and three quarters away in third.

Purchased by Stall Helena for €130,000 at the 2017 BBAG September Yearling Sales, the filly is out of Swordhalf (Haafhd), whose other winner - Sword Peinture (Peintre Celebre) - also won at Listed level.

Further back this is the family of fellow Listed scorers Sweet Brew (Montjeu) and Seven Shares (Peintre Celebre).

Teofilo shuttled to Australia for six seasons and his progeny is headed by 16 elite level winners including six in Australia; Happy Clapper, Humidor, Happy Clapper, Sonntag, Cross Counter, Kermadec and Palentino, who now stand at Darley and Sun Stud respectively.

The son of Galileo (Sadler’s Wells) himself stands at Kildangan Stud where his 2020 fee was €40,000.
