The Aidan O'Brien-trained Love (3 f Galileo - Pikaboo by Pivotal) was impressive when taking out Sunday's 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m) at Newmarket, her second Group 1 victory after winning the Moyglare Stud Stakes (Gr 1, 7f) last season.

Under Ryan Moore, Love quickened impressively in the closing stages and pulled away to score a four and a quarter length victory over the Richard Hannon-trained Cloak Of Spirits (Invincible Spirit). The 11-4 favourite Quadrilateral (Frankel) was another head back in third, putting an end to her unbeaten record.

Now the winner of four of her eight career starts, Love is out of the unplaced Pivotal (Polar Falcon) mare Pikaboo who has produced six foals from as many to race including the Group 2 winner Lucky Kristale (Lucky Story) and Love's Group 3 winning sisters Peach Tree and Flattering.

"She's a very uncomplicated filly and we've always thought a lot of her," said winning jockey Ryan Moore. "She's a typical Galileo filly and she was in control of the race from a long way out.

"I'd say it's a possibility that she'd stay (the Oaks trip of 1m4f). At the moment she looks the best three-year-old filly around. I don't know what the plan is but I'd say the Oaks is an option for her."

Love's second dam is the dual winning Danehill (Danzig) mare Gleam Of LIght who produced eight winners headed by multiple Group 2 winner Arabian Gleam (Kyllachy).

The last time Pikaboo was sold at public aution was in 2012 when bought for 50,000gns by P and GA Venner at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale. She was then purchased privately by Coolmore the following year.

Love is one of 314 stakes winners and 84 Group 1 winners for Coolmore's multiple champion sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells) who has provided four of the winners of the last five runnings of the 1,000 Guineas; Love (2020), Hermosa (2019), Winter (2017) and Minding (2016).
