Great House (Galileo) proved to be the headline act of the Tattersalls Online August Sale and will now continue his career in Australia after being purchased by Highclere Racing for £175,000.

Catalogued as Lot 12, the Donnacha O’Brien-trained colt stayed on strongly to score over 1m4f at Limerick on only his second start to date. He had been trained previously by Aidan O’Brien.

The colt is out of winning mare Anja (Indian Ridge), who is the dam of six winners headlined by Group 3 winner Aboulie (Exceed And Excel), while she is a grandam of Group 2 winner Mustajeeb (Nayef).

The colt’s second dam is Group 3 winner Allez Les Trois (Riverman), the dam of Prix du Jockey Club (Gr 1, 2100m) winner Anabaa Blue (Anabaa) and Listed-winning duo Reunite (Kingmambo) and Measured Tempo (Sadler’s Wells).

Further back this the family Group 1 winner and now successful sire Tamayuz (Nayef).

Akhania (Dalakhani), a seven-year-old mare in foal to Darley resident Golden Horn (Cape Cross), was offered with a colt foal at foot by sire sensation Night Of Thunder (Dubawi).

Catalogued as Lot 1, she was purchased by bloodstock agent Alex Elliott who saw off a number of bidders to secure the three-in-one package for £155,000 on behalf of a British-based breeder.

The mare is out of Prix Saint-Alary (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Fidelite (In The Wings), whose four winners are headed by Extremis (Invincible Spirit), while further back this is the family of Irish Derby (Gr 1, 1m4f) winner Winged Love (In The Wings).

Meanwhile, Asian Bloodstock Services’ Marie Yoshida, who was working on behalf of the Hong Kong based Peter K. L. Chu, purchased two time-winning Pivotal (Polar Falcon) mare Meaningful Vote for £135,000.

Offered by trainer Fozzy Stack’s Thomastown Castle Stables and catalogued as Lot 6, the mare is winning Oasis Dream (Green Desert) mare Adore.

Adore is out of Listed winner Fantasize (Groom Dancer), who in turn is out of Belle Et Deluree (The Minstrel) - the dam of Group 2 winner Dazzle (Gone West) and Listed-winning pair Baschar (Starcraft) and Hypnotize (Machiavellian).

Meanwhile, Inner Beauty will continue her career in America after being purchased by Kern Thoroughbreds’ Joe Miller for £100,000 on behalf of Tim Cohen’s Red Baron’s Barn and Rancho Temescal.

The two-year-old daughter of Rosemont Stud shuttler Starspangledbanner (Choisir) was an impressive winner of her maiden before finishing a close fourth in the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes (Gr 2, 6f).

After the conclusion of the Tattersalls August Online Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented: “This was only the second Tattersalls Online Sale and the feedback has been extremely positive. The international participation was particularly encouraging with three of the five purchases set to continue their racing careers abroad, in Australia, Hong Kong and the USA.”
