Haras de Bonneval’s star stallion Siyouni (Pivotal) was handed his 37th stakes winner on Thursday as his son Policy Of Truth (2 c ex Dawn To Dance by Selkirk) landed the Prix Des Chenes (Gr 3, 1600m) at Longchamp.

Last seen shedding his maiden status at the second time of asking at Deauville on August 6, the Pia Brandt-trained two-year-old showed a good turn of speed to comfortably beat Mouillage who is by Swettenham Stud shuttler Toronado (High Chaparral) - by three lengths, while My Kurkum (Dariyan) was another two and a half lengths away in third.

Purchased for €30,000 by his trainer at the 2019 Arqana Deauville October Yearling Sale, the colt is out of the winning mare Dawn To Dance (Selkirk), making him a half-brother to Listed winner Siberian Iris (Excelebration) and another winner.

Dawn To Dance herself is out of Listed winner Dawnsio (Tate Gallery) - the dam of Prix de l'Abbaye (Gr 1, 1000m) winner Namid (Indian Ridge) and Group 3 scorer Noelani (Indian Ridge).

Siyouni stood at the Aga Khan’s Haras de Bonneval stud in 2020 for a fee of €100,000 and his exploits as a stallion are advertised in Australia by Group 2 winner Aylmerton and his multiple stakes-placed daughter See You Soon, who was retired last month after failing to pass a barrier test. She will now be covered by Arrowfield Stud-based sire The Autumn Sun (Redoute’s Choice).

The sire is currently at the head of the leading sires table in France by earnings, with Dream And Do his leading earner whilst he is sitting second in the table by winners.
