The Yeomanstown Stud-based Dark Angel (Acclamation) sired his 67th stakes winner on Thursday as the John Gosden-trained Indie Angel (3 f ex Indigo Lady by Sir Percy) landed the Fleur De Lys Fillies' Stakes (Listed, 1m) at Lingfield.

Last seen seventh over a mile at Ascot, the three-year-old filly bounced back to winning ways when flying home to beat  Lavender's Blue (Sea The Stars) by a length and a quarter, while Ummalnar (Shamardal) was another neck further away in third.

Purchased by Capital Bloodstock for 600,000gns at the 2017 Tattersalls December Foal Sale from the Ringfort Stud draft, the filly is one of two winners out of Listed winner Indigo Lady (Sir Percy).

Indigo Lady herself is a half-sister to stakes scorer Prism (Spectrum), while this is the same family as Italian Group 1 winner Imperial Dancer (Primo Dominie), Group 3 scorer One Voice (Poet’s Voice) and Listed-winning duo Lafite (Robellino) and Double Touch (Dutch Art).

Ringfort Stud sold Indigo Lady’s filly by Coolmore Stud shuttler Churchill (Galileo) for 90,000gns to BBA Ireland / Ed Dunlop Racing at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale earlier this month.

Dark Angel will stand the 2021 for a reduced fee of €60,000, having commanded a fee of €85,000 last season and he is represented in Australia by Harry Angel, who is covering his second book of mares at Darley’s Kelvinside base at a fee of $16,500 (inc GST).
