Diamond Jubilee plan for son of former shuttler Dream Ahead

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Dream Of Dreams (7 g Dream Ahead - Vasilia by Dansili) made a winning seasonal debut in the Leisure Stakes (Listed, 6f) Windsor on Monday. 

The seven-year-old gelding - who landed the Haydock Sprint Cup (Gr 1, 6f) last year - defeated Garrus (Acclamation) by two and a quarters of a length, while Dubai Station (Brazen Beau) finished another nine lengths away in third. 

Bought by Mick Flanagan for 37,000gns at the 2013 Tattersalls December Foal Sale, the son of former shuttler Dream Ahead (Diktat) has now won eight of his 30 starts and placed on a further 11 occasions. He is one of five winners and the only stakes winner out of the unraced Dansili (Danehill) mare Vasilia who has also produced the stakes placed pair Silverheels (Verglas) and Lasilia (Acclamation). 

His second dam is Kangra Valley (Indian Ridge) who is the dam of Group One winner Airwave (Air Express) who produced stakes winners Aloof (Galileo), Orator (Galileo) and Meow (Storm Cat), the dam of multiple Group 1 winner and sire and Coolmore Stud shuttler Churchill (Galileo). 

Dream Ahead shuttled to Australia for seven seasons between 2012 and 2018 during which time he covered 757 mares. He is now based at Haras de Grandcamp in France and Dream Of Dreams is one of 31 stakes winners and four Group One scorers for the stallion.
