Nine for Dark Angel
The Ralph Beckett-trained Angel Bleu (2 c ex Cercle De La Vie) provided Yeomanstown Stud’s Dark Angel (Acclamation) with Group One winner number nine when he won Sunday’s Jean-Luc Lagardere (Gr 1, 1400m) at Longchamp. The colt is the first foal out of Galileo (Sadler's Wells) mare Cercle De La Vie who is a sister to Swettenham Stud shuttler Highland Reel being out of Hveger (Danehill). Angel Bleu is one of 79 stakes winners for Dark Angel who stood for a fee of €60,000 this year. His son Harry Angel shuttles to Darley’s Kelvinside property.

First for Hot Streak
The Haras d’Annebault-based Hot Streak (Iffraaj) recorded his first Group One winner when A Case Of You (3 c ex Karjera and Key Of Luck) captured Sunday’s Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp (Gr 1, 1000m). Hot Streak has three crops of racing age and A Case Of You is one of three stakes winners for his sire.

First for Territories
Darley’s Territories (Invincible Spirit) was another to sire his first Group One winner on Sunday when Rougir (3 f ex Summer Moon by Elusive City) won the Prix de l’Opera (Gr 1, 1800m) at Longchamp. Territories stood for a fee of £10,000 at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket earlier this year and Rougir is one of two stakes winners for the son of Invincible Spirit (Green Desert) who has also sired nine stakes placegetters. He is standing his fifth season in Australia and his 2021 fee remains at $11,000 (inc GST) after he covered a book of 148 mares at that same fee last year.
