Yeaboi (2 g ex Spiffy Iffie by Iffraaj) became the fifth southern hemisphere-bred winner for Haunui Farm shuttler Belardo (Lope De Vega) when he broke his maiden over 1200 metres at Wanganui.

Starting favourite, Yeaboi scored by a nose over Queen Of Spades (Iffraaj) with three and a quarter lengths back to Shejengar (Echoes Of Heaven) in third.

Yeaboi was passed in with a reserve of NZ$40,000 at Book 2 of the Karaka 2020 sale. He is out of the twice-raced Iffraaj (Zafonic) mare Spiffy Iffie who is herself out of dual winning mare Scentee (Centaine).

Belardo stood for a fee of €10,000 at Darley’s Kildangan Stud in Ireland this year and his fee remains at NZ$10,000 (plus GST) at Haunui Farm this spring.
