Group 2-winning juvenile So You Think (High Chaparral) mare Gold Rush topped the Rosemont Stud Exclusive Online Sale - which was held on the Magic Millions Online platform - after she was snapped up by Paul Willetts for $295,000 on Tuesday.

Purchased for NZ$60,000 at the 2015 New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale, Gold Rush would go on to win the Matamata Breeders' Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) as a juvenile in 2016 and she was offered in foal to Waikato Stud's star stallion Savabeel (Zabeel), having previously produced a colt by the same sire, while most recently she foaled a filly by I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit).

Catalogued as Lot 40, the mare is out of Group 2 winner Gold Rocks (Oratorio), making her a half-sister to fellow Group 2 winner Gold Fever (Savabeel) - who will be the resulting foals three-quarter sister - and dual stakes scorer Calaverite (Lonhro).

The pedigree received a significant update when Gold Rush's half-brother Tommy Gold (Sacred Falls) landed the All Too Hard at Vinery Maiden 2YO Handicap (1100m) at the Randwick Kensington track on May 20.

Further afield this is the family of Listed winner Madame Monet (Koryo).

"Her mother is virtually a blue hen," Willetts said. "Everything she produces seems to run.

"The Sacred Falls out of Gold Rocks (Tommy Gold) won impressively in Sydney last week as well.

"Gold Rush herself is a good two-year-old winning So You Think mare and she's in foal to the best sire in New Zealand.

"She ticks a lot of boxes," Willetts said.

The second highest price of the day was achieved by Split Lip (Your Song) - who was catalogued as Lot 69 and she was purchased by Grand Parkview Stud for $245,000.

The daughter of Your Song (Fastnet Rock) saluted the judge on four occasions, with her most high-profile win coming in the 2017 Dequetteville Stakes (Listed, 1050m) as a two-year-old, while she also finished runner-up in the Proud Miss Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) the following season and she was offered in foal to Widden Stud-based sire Zoustar (Northern Meteor).

Split Lip was purchased for $11,000 as a yearling at the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and she is out of two-time winner Little Less Lip (Blevic), who is herself a three-quarter sister to Group 1 winner Blevvo and Listed winner Oneninetyfive.

Further back this is the family of Group 3 winner True Spirit (Mustin Lake) and Listed-winning duo Spirit Of Hope (Mustin Lake) and She Goes To Rio (Captain Rio).

The top priced weanling was Lot 12 a colt by Zoustar who was purchased by FT Racing for $125,000.

The son of Zoustar is out of winning mare Nobody Gets (Forestry), who is herself a half-sister to

Musidora (Rock Of Gibraltar) - the dam of dual Group 3-winning filly Tulip (Pierro) and fellow Group 3 winner Sacred Eye (High Chaparral).

Meanwhile, Yarramalong Park went to $95,000 to secure a filly by I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) filly - Goldie River -  in foal to Russian Revolution (Snitzel). Catalogued as Lot 41, the unraced filly is out of Listed winner M'Lady Pedrille (Al Maher) who is a sister to Queen Of The Turf Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Diamond Drille from the family of I Am Invincible.

"It was a day like no other," Rosemont Stud principal Anthony Mithen said. "I've never put 93 horses through a sale ring through the course of a full day let alone a few hours. It was like speed dating on steroids.

"What an effort for the team at Rosemont. A real pat on the back to everyone here who put in a remarkable effort to make this sale happen and the support of Magic Millions, which has been incredible. To get a catalogue out and marketed in a way that inspired as much interest and inspections as it did is testament to all concerned.

"We are glad to have partnered with Magic Millions to provide the market with a strong catalogue with nice stock and contribute to the trade market.

"From the truck driver at Rosemont right up to the managing director at Magic Millions we've been one in, all in and in the end I've been proud of the efforts," Mithen added.

The Rosemont Exclusive Online Sale rounded out with an aggregate of over $2.5 million with an average price of $30,945.

"It was pleasing to see horses sold right around the country and indeed a number to international clients," Magic Millions managing director Barry Bowditch said.

"The team from Rosemont Stud showcased their draft incredibly well and we received so much positive feedback from winning bidders and prospective buyers alike.

"The new Magic Millions Online platform worked well again for our second auction and we look forward to our next internet based sale from June 2 to 4."
