A colt by Cheveley Park Stud resident Intello (Galileo) topped the ground-breaking Osarus Breeze-Up Sale on Wednesday after MAB Agency forked out €58,000 for the youngster from the Yann Creff draft.

The sale was originally due to be held at La Teste on April 8 and 9, but was forced to reschedule due to coronavirus restrictions. To provide vendors with an outlet to sell their breezer, Osarus held the sale online with managing director Emmanuel Viaud auctioning each lot via live stream.

The two-year-olds were breezed over various locations in France and Ireland. Videos of the breeze-up, along with conformation photos and videos and veterinary information, were uploaded to the Osarus site.

Catalogued as Lot 30, the sale-topping colt is out of stakes-placed Galaxie Des Sables (Marchand De Sable), who has already produced winning and stakes-placed filly Galaxe (High Chaparral). MAB Agency finished the day as the leading purchaser buying six lots - two of which were purchased in conjunction with Haras De La Gousserie - for an aggregate of €136,500.

Earlier in the day, trainer Jean-Claude Rouget secured Antolya (Prince Gibraltar) for €50,000 from the Prevost Baratte draft.

Catalogued as Lot 5, the filly is out of winning mare Amber Two (Cadeaux Genereux), who is already the dam of four winners, including My Love’s Passion (Elvstroem) who also finished second in the 2019 Prix Robert Papin (Gr 2, 1100m).

Further back the filly hails from the family of 1991 Irish Oaks (Gr 1, 1m4f) winner Possessive Dancer (Shareef Dancer), Grade 2 winner Secret Gypsy (Sea Of Secrets) and Group 3 winner Mylane (Mtoto).

The sale aggregated €554,000 for 35 lots sold, resulting in a 56 per cent clearance rate. The average was €15,829, down around €7,000 on last year's figure, while the median was reported to sit at €9,000 with private sales still ongoing.
