Videos of this week’s Seymour and Eagle Farm breeze ups ahead of next month’s Inglis Ready2Race Sale are now available to be viewed on the Inglis website.

The action was headed by a pair of Shaun and Tal Nolen’s JCS Thoroughbreds two-year-olds, which both breezed up on the synthetic track at Seymour.

A Vancouver (Medaglia d’Oro) colt topped the session, stopping the clock at a speedy 10.16 seconds. Catalogued as Lot 176, the colt is out of USA-breed mare Anatole (Quiet American), who is herself a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Man From Wicklow (Turkoman) and Grade 2 scorer Wild Heart Dancing (Farma Way).

Meanwhile, JCS Thoroughbreds Unencumbered (Test Rossa) was just shy of the fastest time when clocking 10.20 seconds.

Catalogued as Lot 43, the colt is out of the three-time winning mare Magic Of Melbourne (Johannesburg), who is herself a half-sister to the dam of 2017 Epona Stakes (Gr 3, 1900m) winner Consommateur (Roc De Cambes).

Further back this is the same family as 1996 Spring Champion Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Magic Of Sydney (Danehill) and fellow Group 1 winner Daney Boy (Danehill).

Shaun Nolen described the Vancouver colt as ‘a dream to deal with’.

“Jake Duffy, who has been breezing ours up for at least the past decade, says he’s not sure this bloke is the fastest we’ve ever had but he’ll definitely be the best we’ve ever offered,’’ Nolen said.

“He’s just the sort of horse who you don’t really feel like you’re going that fast on him, he’s very economical and he gets over the ground so easily but then when you look at the clock, you realise how good he’s going.

“He doesn’t act like a colt, nothing phases him, his temperament is perfect and he’s more like a three-year-old who’s raced a few times he’s that strong and confident.’’

Nolen breezed five horses in total at Seymour and was impressed with all of them.

“You need to have the right product to bring to market and these are the right product,’’ he said.

The Seymour action was followed by Eagle Farm, where an All Too Hard (Casino Prince) colt topped proceedings for KBL Thoroughbreds, recording a time of 10.33secs on the Good 4-rated dirt track.

Catalogued as Lot 49, the colt is out of three-time winning Northern Meteor (Encosta De Lago) mare Max It Out, who is herself a daughter of Group 3 winner Is Amazing (Laranto).

Breeze-ups continue at Warwick Farm on Friday where 93 juveniles will be put through their paces, before action heads across the Tasman on Monday for the Taupo breeze-ups.
