A filly by Hill 'n' Dale Farm-based stallion Curlin (Smart Strike) was the most expensive lot sold at the OBS Spring 2YO Sale on Thursday when purchased for US$670,000 by Pete Bradley's Bradley Thoroughbreds.

Overall on Thursday, 155 juveniles sold for US$14,491,000 at an average of US$93,490 and median of US$50,000. Over the three days, 540 have sold for US$54,310,000 at an average of US$100,574 and median of US$50,000.

"(There is) still plenty of activity," said OBS director of sales Tod Wojciechowski. "Maybe we had a natural ebb and flow of horses in the catalog, but there was still plenty of activity and a lot of horses sold well throughout the day."

Sold by De Meric Sales as agent, Thursday's session topper breezed in a time of 10.1 seconds and was sold as Lot 830. She is out of Grade 2 winning mare Funny Proposition (Medaglia d'Oro).

Meanwhile a colt by Flatter (A P Indy), who was also consigned by De Meric Sales as Agent, was sold to Lauren Carlisle as agent and myracehorse.com for US$625,000. He is out of Grade 3 placed mare Co Cola (Candy Ride) making him a brother to the Chad Brown-trained three-year-old Search Results who won the Gazelle Stakes (Gr 3, 10f) on April 3 and he is from the family of Grade 1 winner Mind Your Biscuits (Posse).
