Tattersalls assemble 502 yearlings for their forthcoming October Yearling Sale
Tattersalls announced on Monday that 502 yearlings have been catalogued for Book One of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale which will be held at Park Paddocks from Tuesday, October 5 to Thursday, October 7.
Included in the 2021 catalogue are 20 yearlings by Dubawi (Dubai Millennium), 24 by Frankel (Galileo), 43 by Kingman (Invincible Spirit), 44 by Lope De Vega (Shamardal), 34 by Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) and 14 by the late multiple champion sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells).
The catalogue features full or half relations to 47 Classic / Group One winners and 248 Group / Listed winners.
The largest draft comes from last year's sale topping consignor Newsells Park Stud who will offer an outstanding team of 30 yearlings, followed by The Castlebridge Consignment with 29 and Highclere Stud with 23 lots catalogued.
Rosemont Stud shuttler Starspangledbanner (Choisir) and Widden Stud's reverse shuttler Zoustar (Northern Metoer) are both represented, while Australian-bred Group Three winner One Last Dance (Encosta De Lago) has a Kingman colt being offered by Hazelwood Stud as Lot 184 and Loughton Stud will offer an Oasis Dream (Green Desert) colt out of Australian Group Two winner Brom Felinity as Lot 430.
Commenting on the catalogue for Book One of the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

"October Book One purchases have enjoyed a remarkable 2021 on the racecourse with the world's highest rated horse, St Mark's Basilica, leading the way alongside the world's highest rated miler Palace Pier, the Irish Derby and Grand Prix de Paris winner Hurricane Lane as well as Domestic Spending, the highest rated Turf horse in North America.
"All 502 yearlings are eligible for the enormously popular £20,000 October Book 1 Bonus which has paid out more than £6,000,000 in bonuses to the 243 winners over the past six years and will again ensure that buyers have the chance to win unprecedented prize money by purchasing at Europe's premier yearling sale."
