Blandford Bloodstock's Stuart Boman's went to 140,000 guineas on Monday to secure Montather (Dubawi) on behalf of Ciaron Maher Racing. Sold as part of the Shadwell Estate Company draft, the four-year-old gelded son of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) has won three of his eight career starts to date for trainer Roger Varian.

"He's off to Australia – I've bought him for Ciaron Maher and David Eustace," said Boman.

"We've had a bit of luck buying at this sale over the years and they wanted to come back and buy a nice horse. I spoke to Roger Varian, who has handled the horse beautifully, and I think he's a very talented horse who will handle the faster pace in Australia, because he's been a bit keen in races. He handles fast ground and he's a lovely horse to look at – we're delighted to get him."

Shortly earlier, Blandford and Ciaron Maher Racing had struck for Camelot Tales (Camelot), going to 42,000 guineas to secure the three-year-old son of former Coolmore Australia shuttler Camelot (Montjeu).

The gelding has nine raced times for Simon and Ed Crisford, winning twice.

Australian Boodstock and Ronald Rauscher also got their names on the buyers sheet on Monday, going to 75,000 guineas for three-year-old gelding Baltic Coast (New Approach). He was also offered by Simon and Ed Crisford's Gainsborough Stables and to date has raced twice for two seconds.
