The Jorge Abreu-trained Irish-bred filly Star Devine (3 f ex Stars At Night by Galileo) became the 177th stakes winner for Coolmore's Fastnet Rock (Danehill) when she landed the Galway Stakes (Listed, 5.5f) at Saratoga on Sunday.

Settled down in midfield by John Velazquez, Star Divine moved up approaching the home turn and then ran on well in the straight, down the outside, to get up and win by a head. Illegal Smile (Camacho) finished in second, with Bye Bye (Into Mischief) beaten a head for third.

Star Devine will likely contest the Music City Stakes (Listed, 6.5f) at Kentucky Downs on September 12 next start.

"We're going to go to Kentucky Downs," Abreu said. "I've had some good luck there and I like going there. We'll see how she comes out of it and that's where we'll aim."

Bought by Mike Ryan for 200,000gns at the 2019 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Star Devine is the first winner out of winning Galileo (Sadler's Wells) mare Stars At Night who is herself a half-sister to three-time Group One winner Blue Bunting (Dynaformer).

The Fastnet Rock - Galileo (Sadler's Wells) cross has produced 23 stakes winners from 107 runners at a hugely impressive strike rate of 22 per cent stakes winners to runners, including eight Group One winners.

Fastnet Rock's 2021 fee is set at $165,000 (inc GST) at Coolmore's Hunter Valley farm
